Audrey Elizabeth Apothecary Sugar Lip Scrub Review
I wear some sort of lip product almost every day—be it lipstick, lip gloss, or lip tints. My lips barely get any rest during the week, so this means my lips often get chapped and dull—which makes applying any lip product difficult. I am a habitual lip-licker and that of course makes things worse. Thankfully, there are many products that help condition and salvage my lips from incessant mistreatment.
I purchased this lip scrub after reading a review on it by Temptalia. I had been looking for a lip scrub for a while (I had the e.l.f. one and I lost it…), and since I wanted my blog to focus on skincare as well as makeup I decided to give it a try.
Audrey Elizabeth Apothecary resides on Etsy, and the products are just so pleasing to the eye. The soaps are so realistic, and the composition of the shop is lovely. I looked at the different versions of their lip scrub, and decided for lemon (you know I love citric flavored anything).
The packaging was simple yet cute. I appreciated the note the owner put in my package :) When I opened this, first thing that popped into my mind was “this smells good enough to eat.” I cannot tell you how nice this smells.
This is an all-natural vegan polish, and is a 2-in-1, a lip scrub and a balm. After reading the ingredients list, I was impressed—sucrose, shea butter, jojoba seed oil, molasses, grapefruit essential oil, and vitamin E. That’s it. Really.
It is instructed on the label that you can lick away the scrub and eat it after massaging it onto your lips. It does taste wonderful, and the balm that remains is nice enough to leave it onto my lips for the rest of the day.
This retails for 8.50 and you can get it at Audrey Elizabeth Apothecary.
